Ruby's Story

Ladies and gents, say hello to Ruby. Ruby is a loving, thoughtful young boy. He is a Mastiff.

He is an absolute lovebug. He goes nuts for facial hair and is well known for stick chewing. Even though he will make you play for hours and hours, he is as steadfast and true a partner as any pup could be.

Sadly, Ruby was discovered living in a park under some thorny bushes. Ruby now lives with the other ShelterPups while waiting for a nice human to love him.
The past doesn't matter to Ruby. He's ready to start a new life in a new home, right now! Ruby is a sporty, high energy dog. Ruby's crazily obedient nature makes him the perfect adoptable friend for humans that love to play (a lot). Ruby is often kind of hyper . We recommend a home where he'll be around other active dogs.

He had some accidents when he first arrived at the Shelter Pups, but has been trained during the stay.

Things You Should Know
Before Adopting Ruby

Ruby is a sporty, high energy Bullmastiff . Be ready for lots of action. Also, each dog breed has certain traits. Knowing a little bit about your dog's individual personality and breed personality will give you some clues about how to care for your dog.

Friendliness: Mastiff are extremely large dogs and can weigh up to 200lbs. Their size and protective nature make them excellent watch dogs. In addition to their desire to guard their home, Mastiffs make excellent pets and are considered calm and patient playmates.

Health: Mastiffs are prone to stomach aches, also known as bloat. To keep this pup feeling good feed two or three small meals a day instead of one large meal.

Exercise: Mastiffs are extremely lazy but still require a daily walk to stay healthy.
