The sensational Mr. Valle. Valle is a noble and jovial gentleman. He is a Dachshund.
He loves soccer and is terrified of rakes. Valle is truly one-of-a-kind.
Valle is a steadfast and true pet to humans (even though he sometimes sometimes peed NEXT to the newspaper when he was first being trained).
But something unexpected happened; Valle's human grew too old and sick to care for him as well as he used to. So the human sadly surrendered poor Valle to the shelter, where he waits patiently for a Rescue Hero.
The courageous Valle never gives up hope, and is 100% convinced today is the day he'll be adopted. Valle is a sporty, high energy dog. Valle's crazily obedient nature makes him the ultimate family pup for a home with lots of action. Some describe Valle as "overly affectionate" and he is recommended for a home where he'll get lots of active playtime and tons of exercise.
He had some accidents when he first arrived at the Shelter Pups, but has been trained during the stay.
Things You Should Know Before Adopting Valle
Valle is a sporty, high energy Wire-haired dachshund. Be ready for lots of action. Also, each dog breed has certain traits. Knowing a little bit about your dog's individual personality and breed personality will give you some clues about how to care for your dog.
There's a lot of Wire-haired dachshund in this Shelter Pup!
Friendliness: Dachshunds are very lively, outgoing, courageous, and often times stubborn. They make excellent companion dogs and want to spend most of their time at your side, both indoors and out. Friendly, charming, and curious, Dachshunds are known for their affectionate nature and make great "lap dogs". Despite their small size, a loud bark makes them good watch dogs.
Grooming: Dachshunds are generally low maintaince and only require occasional soft brushing with a "hound mitt" and a bath every few weeks. If your pup has long hair, more regular brushing and grooming will be needed. You may even want to take your long hair pup to a professional groomer to get the right "look."
Health: Your Dachshund is prone to stomach aches, also known as bloat. Make sure your pup rests after eating or drinking and he'll feel great. Because of a dachshund's small size and long back, they need to be careful when jumping and playing. Make sure to teach your pup how to jump off the couch and go up and down the stairs safely.
