Nike. Nike is a loving, cheerful Schnauzer and Poodle mix.
He is mad for dissecting squeaky toys and is terrified of the washing machine.
Nike is a steadfast friend to humans (even though he sometimes can be just a little noisy).
It breaks my heart to tell you, but Nike was abandoned by a breeder. Nike was brought to ShelterPups.com and now spends time playing with the other ShelterPups while patiently waiting for a Rescue Hero.
The past doesn't matter to Nike. He's ready to start a new life in a new home, right now! Nike is an easy going, medium energy dog. Nike's endlessly sweet disposition makes him a great, easy-going lifelong companion. Nike can be kind of hyper and he'll be best in a home where he can get tons of attention.
He had some accidents when he first arrived at the Shelter Pups, but has been trained during the stay.
Things You Should Know Before Adopting Nike
Nike is a easy going, medium energy Schnoodle (poodle and s. Be ready to have this pup always at your side. Also, each dog breed has certain traits. Knowing a little bit about your dog's individual personality and breed personality will give you some clues about how to care for your dog.
There's a whole lot of Schnoodle (poodle and s in this Shelter Pup!
Friendliness: Schnauzers hate to be alone and thrive on companionship. Make sure to include this pup in all your daily activities. Originally bred as hunters and messengers, Schnauzers are also great watch dogs. These enthusiastic and spunky dogs will definitely let you know when someone is at the front door. Poodles love people and will go out of their way to make them happy. Because they love people so much, Poodles do not do well in cages or alone for long periods of time. These pups love to be the center of attention and will eagerly accompany you to all types of events and outings.
Grooming: The Schnauzer has a wiry top coat and a dense undercoat. Twice a year the Schnauzer's coat should be clipped to all one length. Most Poodles must be bathed regularly and clipped every six to eight weeks. Because Poodles do not shed, they must be clipped instead of brushed. A professional groomer can give your Poodle a different hair cut each time!
Exercise: A Schnauzer should be exercised as much as possible. Walks, jogging and playtime are great exercises for Schnauzers. The Standard Poodle is generally lower energy and often calmer than the smaller varieties of Poodles although all sizes are described as highly intelligent and easily trained. Obedience and agility games are a great way to exercise these pups and use their brain power.
Sorry, but Nike was already adopted by an International Rescue Hero!
