Ladies and gents, may I present Radar. Mr. Radar is a kind and gracious soul. He is a Dachshund.
He is mad for barking at nothing. He has a favorite toy: flip-flops. Radar is the absolute cutest.
Although he usually flies into a panic whenever an alarm clock goes off, he is as trusting a pet as any canine could possibly be.
It breaks my heart to tell you, but Radar was found living in an abandoned house,Radar was abandoned at the shelter in the middle of the night. Radar was brought to ShelterPups.com and now spends time playing with the other ShelterPups while patiently waiting for a Rescue Hero.
The courageous Radar never gives up hope, and is 100% convinced today is the day he'll be adopted. Radar is an easy going, medium energy dog. Radar's laid-back, easy-going attitude makes him a great, easy-going lifelong companion. Radar is often a little TOO friendly sometimes . We recommend a home where he'll get tons of attention.
He is 100% house broken.
Things You Should Know Before Adopting Radar
Radar is a easy going, medium energy Dachshund. Be ready to have this pup always at your side. Also, each dog breed has certain traits. Knowing a little bit about your dog's individual personality and breed personality will give you some clues about how to care for your dog.
There's a lot of Dachshund in this Shelter Pup!
Friendliness: Dachshunds are very lively, outgoing, courageous, and often times stubborn. They make excellent companion dogs and want to spend most of their time at your side, both indoors and out. Friendly, charming, and curious, Dachshunds are known for their affectionate nature and make great "lap dogs". Despite their small size, a loud bark makes them good watch dogs.
Grooming: Dachshunds are generally low maintaince and only require occasional soft brushing with a "hound mitt" and a bath every few weeks. If your pup has long hair, more regular brushing and grooming will be needed. You may even want to take your long hair pup to a professional groomer to get the right "look."
Health: Your Dachshund is prone to stomach aches, also known as bloat. Make sure your pup rests after eating or drinking and he'll feel great. Because of a dachshund's small size and long back, they need to be careful when jumping and playing. Make sure to teach your pup how to jump off the couch and go up and down the stairs safely.
Sorry, but Radar was already adopted by an International Rescue Hero!
Loves life. Loves barking at nothing, favorite toy: flip-flops
