Friends, this is Vincenzo. Vincenzo is a regal, thoughtful young pup. He is a Chihuahua.
He loves stick chewing. He hates chatting on the phone.
Vincenzo is a totally committed companion to humans (even though he sometimes sometimes peed NEXT to the newspaper when he was first being trained).
But sadly, Vincenzo's human did not have enough money to take care of him. His human had no other choice than to put Vincenzo up for adoption.
Vincenzo now dreams of the simple things like a kind human to worship, and a soft, safe place to snuggle. Vincenzo is a sporty, high energy dog. Vincenzo's unbelievable intelligence makes him the ultimate family pup for a home with lots of action. Some describe Vincenzo as "overly affectionate" and he is recommended for a home where he'll be around other active dogs.
He had some accidents when he first arrived at the Shelter Pups, but has been trained during the stay.
Things You Should Know Before Adopting Vincenzo
Vincenzo is a sporty, high energy Chihuahua. Be ready for lots of action. Also, each dog breed has certain traits. Knowing a little bit about your dog's individual personality and breed personality will give you some clues about how to care for your dog.
There's a lot of Chihuahua in this Shelter Pup!
Friendliness: Chihuahuas may look small and timid but these pups have confidence and attitude. They are proud, graceful, and dainty. The Chihuahua's favorite activity is being held by their favorite human. This pup may even do tricks to get your attention! Make sure you save plenty of time for your Chihuahua and never leave him alone for long periods of time.
Grooming: Chihuahuas can have long or short hair. Short haired Chihuahuas are low maintenance and only require an occasional grooming. Unlike many other long-haired breeds, long-haired Chihuahuas require no trimming and minimal grooming.
Health: Chihuahua are very healthy but also very tiny. Because they are so small it is important to help them stay safe -no jumping from high places or rough play with large dogs. Chihuahuas are also very sensitive to cold weather and should always be kept indoors.
Exercise: Chihuahuas may spend many lazy hours just laying around but they are still considered active dogs and require exercise. Because of their small size, simply running around your house gives them plenty of exercise!
